Busch Composites Featured in the Latest Deloitte Study on the Swiss Watch Industry

Composites Busch had the honor of contributing to Deloitte’s new analysis focused on the Swiss watch industry’s supplier ecosystem. This publication explores the challenges, opportunities, and future prospects that characterize this unique ecosystem today.

Our CEO, Ahmet Muderris, shares his expertise in a feature highlighting the sector’s challenges and transformations. Several projects developed by Composites Busch are also featured in this study.

The analysis highlights, in particular, the central role played by suppliers in the performance of the Swiss watch industry, as well as the growing importance of innovation, new technologies, and high-value-added materials.

Carbon, with a difference: from raw material to finished product, discover our expertise

Sharing knowledge and showcasing the expertise of our industry: that is the goal of our collaboration with the HOROPEDIA Foundation.

Together, we have produced a series of educational videos to introduce viewers to composite materials, their manufacturing processes, and their applications in the watchmaking industry.

Our goal is to help pass on knowledge, highlight the trades within our industry, and spark interest among younger generations in these exceptional skills.

And this is just the beginning. Other topics will follow to explore the world of composites from new perspectives.

JEC World 2026

On March 12, 2026, we took part in the new edition of JEC World, the must‑attend event for the composites industry!

JEC World is the largest international trade show dedicated to composite materials and their applications. Held every year in Paris, it brings together key industry players—from manufacturers to end users, as well as researchers and innovators.

This event allowed us to showcase our latest innovations and return with meaningful new projects. For this edition, we put a particular focus on our new Black‑Shark® technology.

OMTEC 2025 – Chicago – First edition

We attended OMTEC 2025 – The Orthopedic Manufacturing & Technology Exposition and Conference, June 17-19, 2025, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Chicago.

Recognized as the world’s leading orthopedic manufacturing event, OMTEC brings together over 1,500 attendees and more than 210 exhibitors from across the orthopedic supply chain. For over 15 years, OMTEC has been the must-attend event for engineers, decision-makers, manufacturers and suppliers to discover the latest technologies, innovations and business opportunities in the orthopedic sector.

At this year’s event, Composites Busch presented its advanced composite solutions for the orthopedic industry, focusing on external fixation, surgical instrumentation and patient positioning applications. Its lightness, radiolucency, biocompatibility and exceptional mechanical strength make carbon fiber an ideal material for next-generation medical technologies.

In addition to these key areas, Composites Busch also supports other fields such as surgical robotics, with precisely engineered composite components, reducing the load on robotic arms and enabling more compact designs.

EPHJ PALEXPO in GENEVA – 23rd edition – 2025

We had the pleasure of taking part in the 23ᵉ edition of the EPHJ trade show, held at Geneva-Palexpo from June 3 to 6, 2025. This edition once again confirmed the sector’s dynamism, with nearly 750 exhibitors and over 23,000 visitors from all over the world.

For over 20 years, EPHJ has been bringing together professionals from the high-precision watchmaking, jewelry, microtechnology and medtech industries. The only one of its kind, this show has established itself as a veritable international hub of innovation and business opportunities.

This 2025 edition was a must-attend event for our team. It enabled us to showcase our latest innovations, expand our network and open up new prospects for collaboration.
